A single announcement for an event is always appropriate, but repeat
announcements are silly. there's an online calendar that everyone can use.

Sending something to the list will reach a greater number of people than
calling people directly. But most of the people you reach can't help you.
The mailing list readership is world wide. And while the people that do
utilize the mailing lists use them a lot, you should be aware that the
mailing lists are among the lesser used parts of BHQ. Only about 2000
people are subscribed to the mailing lists. that doesn't come anywhere
near the number of people using BHQ. What's more important when you have a
job referral anyway - reaching more people or reaching the right people?

Yes. Discussions like this are the best way to remind people to keep their
information up to date. Find yourself in the directory by visiting:
http://www.balloonhq.com/dbindex/
If you aren't there, get yourself in there (and sign up as a full member
while you're at it). If you are there, make sure the information is
accurate. If you have trouble changing your information, write to
bhq-admin@balloonhq.com for help. If you're a paying member of BHQ and
need help, you can also write to memberadmin@balloonhq.com.
