Howdy,

Tim McConeghy, Lord of Latex. How do I always find the hot topic?
I recieved 20 private e-mails and only saw a couple of those on the list. My
original post was in response to Vince to let him know that there are other
french speakers on the list. My second post was primarily in response to a
private e-mail which I thought would be appreciated by all. I greatly
appreciate the corrections and observations that will help me improve my
skills in other languages. I should state that my suggestions for learning
the rudiments of a new tongue work great for acquiring a topic specific
grasp of a language. Anyone interested in actually speaking or understanding
a new language should invest the time in a class taught by an educated
instructor (can't imagine the flames I would get for suggesting you could
change your own oil or fix your own plumbing){note the Jimmy reference}.
Some one suggested that translations of certain words into other
languages should be available in the guide and I agree. Therefore I request
that those of you who actually speak a language other than english as your
first language please send in your languages equivalent to the following
words and phrases (please let us know what language it is)( and a little
example of correct pronunciation would help)
