Well, the jam tonight had a great turnout.  Betallic sponsored it and sent
some GREAT sample packs.  The new formula balloons are fabulous.  Lorna sow
the peach and got so excited that she was sitting there kissing the balloon
for a couple of minutes.  I can't wait until they come out with single color
bags.  Flash made an incredible helicopter out of the clown nose balloon.
Now I want those too!  We made a color wheel to see all of the colors, and I
think that it was pretty much unanimous that we'd like to see the fashion
colors in single color bags.  They fill a big gap in the color palette
available to us.

The Metallic Terra- Cotta also made a pretty good skin tone balloon.  So,
Betallic has nicely filled in a gap for balloonicatures, now we have to
convince them to package single colors.  I know that they are listening, so
I ask you again, speak up people.  We got (limited edition) single color
260Q neons (at T Myers...), we can have great skin tone balloons too.  :-)

Those of you who saw Betallic at TJAM need to look at them again, they're
better than I remembered them.  The new packaging is nice, with a convenient
zipper top, and the new soft formula is a pleasure to inflate, even by
mouth.  I could even blow up the metallic balloons.

Anyway, it was a lot of fun to get so many creative minds together to play
with some really neat new balloons.

If anyone has some other neat things to make out of the shapes, I'd love to
hear about them.  Flash's helicopter just blew me away.  How about a WEB
jam???   I'll go first:

Take one of the caterpillar balloons, one of the spirals, and a couple of
260's.

The caterpillar makes a really nice alien head.  The spiral makes great
legs/pants (just don't use peach or he'll look naked  ;-) ).  Make a 260
bird body body and 260 arms, and feet and you have a really easy, but
intricate looking alien.  (I think that I came up with this by myself, but I
can't really be sure....  the pants idea came from Todd at TJAM, I think the
rest is mine....?)

So, there you are.  I'll let Flash post the helicopter if he wants.  The
mini link- o- loons got a lot of attention as heads with an attachment point
for hair.  And of course, the peach is GREAT for balloonicature.  Oh, did I
say that already?  Sorry, but it's exciting.

Anyway, all in all, I think that the Bettalic balloons may have some
converts on their hands once the single color bags come in......

As for results of the jam and stuff, well I'll let one of the others post
that.
