Title: Neil Armstrong's lunar boot
Creator: Larry Moss, Kelly Cheatle

Description: This Airigami installation of Neil Armstrong's left lunar boot took place at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. Thousands of balloons were used to create the astronaut's shoe in celebration of the first human step on the moon. 50 years later, to the minute of that first step, the giant balloon boot touched down on the floor of this Smithsonian museum. Video shows the building of the boot and the lowering of it from the ceiling to the floor of the museum to simulate the first step. Design: Kelly Cheatle; Crew: Larry Moss (lead), TJ Michael, Marsha Gallagher, Jenny Henry.
