This is my first posting so here goes! I'm Popsicle the clown and have been ballooning seriously for about 2 1/2 years. I understand your problem with not knowing what books to get to take your skills up another notch. Every book seems to start at the same place and waste time on the simple figures before getting to the "meat". I personally don't care for Dewey's books they are basically pamphlets but have a few decent figures in them. The best (again opinion) visually is the Balloon Magic by Marvin Hardy put out by Qualatex/Pioneer. The photos are well done and the directions easy(for me) to follow. It has 200 pages and some great figures. Of course there are a few that I don't care for but I'm picky. I paid $14.50 for it and think it is well worth it. My next favorite is Twisting History by Larry Moss. This was on my Christmas list and the advanced figures in the back are great! Also for Christmas Santa brought me a really GREAT Video. I know that you didn't ask about videos but this one is exceptional and I have already started using some of the figures after one viewing. It is called Twist Rattle & Roll , Balloons by Paul Belanger and was ordered from T.Meyers. I hope this helps and I wish you luck . Bump a Nose, Popsicle (Kathy Landess)
